At MVC, I specialize in sustainability education, project planning & implementation; Create hands-on learning tools and programs to broaden the scope of sustainability in higher education. Responsible for managing Mountain View College's climate and sustainability action plans and reports; curriculum resources, faculty/community workshops and special events related to sustainability education and the Sustainability Scholar program. Manage Mountain View’s Community Garden, Aquaponics Lab and Outdoor Classroom. Through these Living Labs, MVC introduces students to sustainability education through food and soil.

I aspire to teach urban planning and sustainability at a four-year institution to prepare future planners and engineers to design resilient cities in response to climate change and rising sea levels, especially as global populations face food scarcity, relocation, variable climate trends and disruptive weather patterns. I have been accepted into UTA’s PhD program, Urban Planning and Public Policy / Environmental Planning Policy/Sustainability track.

Most recently, I've been accepted to participate in the Clinton Global Initiative University 2018. I submitted my capstone project, a workbook designed to help faculty identify sustainability issues that already exist in their courses. It serves as a tool for bridging disciplinary silos by illustrating connections between and among disciplines for every topic. It’s different from other resources I found in my research, as it provides supplemental current events, videos and reports for topics while illustrating connections with other courses and alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Press Release
